I found a way to help!the african well fund is a non-profit organization that uses donations and volunteers to build simple, easily-managed wells throughout africa. they have a program called "walk 10 miles in her shoes," where individuals, groups, and businesses can collect 84,440 pennies -- the number it would take to make a mile-long line of pennies.
today I put together all my change, and I have $4.38. it's a small start, I know, but I'm hoping to be able to raise $850 by my birthday. wouldn't it be grand?
